Sergii Koziakov attended the briefing of Ukrainian Association of International Law

Sergii Koziakov attended the briefing of Ukrainian Association of International Law concerning the aggression of the Russian Federation in relation to Ukraine. Participants to the briefing drew attention to the violation by the Russian Federation of United Nations Charter, the Declaration on Principles of International Law of 1970, the CSCE Helsinki Final Act, the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between the Russian Federation and Ukraine of 1995, the Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurance of 1994 and other international agreements.
Within the presentation, Sergii Koziakov cited dozens of examples of legal problems faced by residents of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and by legal entities registered on the peninsula. Sergii Koziakov described the situation as a legal collapse, arising due to the Russian annexation of the territory of Ukraine.

Sergii Koziakov has concluded that lawyers obtained degree in Ukraine (attorneys, judges, notaries, auditors) in fact faced a ban on their profession in Crimea.
