SERGII KOZIAKOV AND PARTNERS ORGANIZED WORKSHOP ON MARKET ACCESS TO CANADA

Sergii Koziakov and Partners jointly with the Kyiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized and held a workshop on Market Access to Canada.

The workshop was organized for Ukrainian business in light of the Free Trade Agreement signed by Canada and Ukraine.

President of the Kyiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mykola Zasulsky as well as representatives of Ukrainian Industry Expertise, CUTIS Project, MAAW Law (Toronto, Canada) spoke at the event.

Olesia Kryvetska, associate with Sergii Koziakov and Partners, talked about the key provisions of Canadian non-tariff regulation (permits, licenses, certificates etc.) applied to products originated in Ukraine. This is a compelling issue as domestic business’ unawareness of the foreign behind-the-border trade barriers brings the opportunities arising under free trade agreements of Ukraine to nothing.
Moreover, Mark Warner, Partner with MAAW Law (Toronto, Canada) spoke on how Canadian laws regulated cross-border transactions and joint economic activities conducted with Canadian partner.

Starting from this workshop, Sergii Koziakov and Partners and the Kyiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry launched a program of events to be on access to foreign markets of products and services.
