SERGII KOZIAKOV & PARTNERS ACTS AS COUNCIL OF THE STATE OF UKRAINE IN THE CASE REGARDING MURDER OF ITALIAN JOURNALIST ANDREA ROCCHELLI

The team of SERGII KOZIAKOV & PARTNERStogether with Italian partner – law firm Legance Avvocati Associati – defends the interests of Ukraine under the civil suit against the state of Ukraine of relatives of the Italian journalist Andrea Rocchelli murdered in Slaviansk during combat actions with Russian-backed illegal armed forces. Such a lawsuit was filed with the court of Pavia (Italy) within criminal proceedings against Ukrainian national guard serviceman Vitaliy Markiv.

The efforts of councils are aimed at ensuring full and comprehensive consideration by the Italian court of the actual circumstances of the case, justifying the Ukrainian soldier in court and protecting the interests of the state of Ukraine.

Aditionally:the team of SERGII KOZIAKOV & PARTNERStogether with Dutch partner – the law firm Bergh Stoop & Sanders – also represents the interests of the State of Ukraine in the case against four Crimean museums on return of “Scythian treasures”. Mentioned Crimean museums soon after the occupation of the Crimean peninsula by the Russian Federation were actually resubordinated to Kremlin. The decision of the court of first instance was awarded in favor of the State of Ukraine. Currently the Case is at the stage of appeal review.
