Article by Olesia Kryvetska on Regulatory Cooperation in the EU-Canada Free Trade

Europeiska Pravda (European Truth) published an article by associate Olesia Kryvetska “EU-Canada Free Trade. What is an interest of Ukraine?”

The author underscores a new type of commitments on regulatory cooperation, inscribed in the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement between the EU and Canada. According to Olesia Kryvetska, these provisions open new opportunities for Ukrainian exporters to tackle non-tariff barriers to markets access in the EU and Canada. The author suggests, that Ukraine should enter three lateral consultations with both trading partners with regard to every initiatives held in the framework of discussion and elaboration of new regulatory norms and may impact trade interests of Ukraine.
