“The White Book: how to use the export potential of Ukraine considering globalization trends”

At this date, a content of the document “The White Book: how to use the export potential of Ukraine considering globalization trends” has been under discussion. The document was elaborated along with the National Export Strategy of Ukraine for 2016-2020 and the Action Plan thereto by the experts of the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting jointly with Sergii Koziakov & Partners Law Firm. All the documents were prepared on the request of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine (MEDT). This important project was completed in three months due to support of Western NIS Enterprise Fund.

The abovementioned project pursued to provide an analysis of Ukraine’s current export potential, highlight the main problems and ways to solve them, as well as prepare a road map in form of the Action Plan for step–by-step implementation of the tasks assigned. While the White Book was presented at the Roundtable on the development of the National Export Strategy held on April 26, the Action Plan was not submitted for public discussion, as the decision on its publication had not yet been adopted by the MEDT.

It bears mentioning that these documents have already been supported by the international experts in international trade and obtained positive comments from the side of Ukrainian specialists.

The White Book presented implies the document containing an expert vision of the problems to be solved by the Government of Ukraine. The document also provides for strategic steps of the problem settlement, and determines a list of compelling issues to be addressed in future.

 Very important is the fact that the abovementioned document fully meets concerns and views of domestic exporters being the engine of Ukrainian economy and the stakeholders the experts have to consult with in preparation of such documents.
