The Team of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv has produced the 2nd best Written Submission among 26 European teams becoming the 4th among 79 teams worldwide at the ELSA Moot Court Competition on WTO Law.
According to the overall ranking the Team has become the six at the European Regional Round.
Each year the Team of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv is represented by the students from the Institute of International Relations and the Law Faculty. This year Anastasia Koltunova, Nikita Novikov, Tetyana Tanchyn (International Law, IIR) and Maria Shulha (Law Faculty, graduate of the International Trade Regulation Programme) represented the Team. For the 3d year the Team has been coached by Olesia Kryvetska (Senior Associate with Sergii Koziakov and Partners) and Nataliia Kozachuk (Lecturer at the International Trade Regulation Program, IIR).
The ELSA Moot Court Competition on WTO Law (EMC2) is one of the most prestigious international competition for law students and young lawyer. It is annually organized by the European Law Student Association under the auspice of the World Trade Organization and under the personal patronage of the WTO Director-General.
Sergii Koziakov and Partners lawyers have been coaching the team of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv since 2009. For the 8-year EMC2 experience, the Team has become the most successful one in Eastern and Central Europe. For a long time, Sergii Koziakov served an academic supervisor of the Team. Since 2009, the Team has advanced to the EMC2 Final Oral Round for four times (the world’s top 20). Our team members won the Best Speaker Award at the European Regional Round (2013) and the National Oral Round (2010). In 2017, the Team has added the written submission award to its «success story» collection.
