THE EMC2 TEAM OF TARAS SHEVCHENKO NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF KYIV HIGHLY RANKED IN THE OVERALL WRITTEN SUBMISSION ROUND

The Team of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv has produced the 2nd best Written Submission among 31 European teams becoming the 5th among 99 teams worldwide at the ELSA Moot Court Competition on WTO Law.

According to the overall ranking the Team has become the six at the European Regional Round held i Wroclaw (Poland) in March 2018.

Each year the Team of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv is represented by the students from the Institute of International Relations and the Law Faculty. This year Hanna Holubnycha (Law Faculty), Andrii Falendysh (Law Faculty), Oleksandra Poliakova (IIR) and Alex Voloshyn (IIR, Internatitional Trade Regulation Master Programme) represented the Team.

Team was coached by Olesia Kryvetska (Senior Associate with Sergii Koziakov and Partners) and Mariya-Khrystyna Koziy (trade law and policy consultant).

The ELSA Moot Court Competition on WTO Law (EMC2) is one of the most prestigious international competition for law students and young lawyer. It is annually organized by the European Law Student Association under the auspice of the World Trade Organization and under the personal patronage of the WTO Director-General.

Sergii Koziakov and Partners lawyers have been coaching the team of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv since 2009. The Team has advanced to the EMC2 Final Oral Round for four times (the world’s top 20). Our team members won the Best Speaker Award at the European Regional Round (2013) and the National Oral Round (2010). In 2017 and 2018, the Team added the written submission award to its «success story» collection.
